Eastern Macedonia and Thrace continues promoting the region across Europe
The Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace is continuing its tourism promotion activities across Europe.
Recently named “Europe’s Emerging Tourism Destination” at the World Travel Awards 2025, the region is strengthening its international presence through targeted initiatives.
Under the leadership of Deputy Regional Governor for Tourism Panagiotis Archontis, the regional tourism team organized two B2B (business-to-business) events aimed at the European market. The first was held in Copenhagen, focusing on the Baltic countries and southern Sweden, while the second took place in The Hague, targeting Central European markets.
The events brought together travel agencies and tour operators, aiming to showcase the region’s tourism offerings and enhance its international visibility.
Regional officials have announced that their next destination will be participation in the World Travel Market (WTM) tourism fair in London in early November.
