Development law: Application deadlines extended for three support schemes – New dates announced

The Greek Ministry of Development has announced an extension of the application deadlines for three support schemes under the Development Law.

Applications for the “Manufacturing – Supply Chain” and “Special Support Areas” schemes are extended until October 31, 2025, allowing businesses additional time to gather and submit all required documentation.

Meanwhile, the “Large Investments” scheme deadline is extended until December 31, 2025, in order to facilitate the completion of applications for large-scale investment projects.

The “Manufacturing – Supply Chain” scheme aims to support investment projects in the manufacturing sector (excluding agricultural product processing) and the logistics industry. Its goal is to promote technological, productive, administrative, and organizational upgrades, along with innovative and outward-looking growth, strengthening the competitiveness of Greek enterprises in both domestic and international markets.

For 2025, the total budget for the “Large Investments” scheme amounts to €150 million, with €75 million allocated to tax relief measures and another €75 million to grants, leasing subsidies, and employment cost support, funded by the Public Investment Budget of the Ministry of Development.

Finally, the “Special Support Areas” scheme is designed to strengthen investment projects implemented in regions facing significant economic and demographic challenges, such as:

Border regional units along Greece’s northern frontiers
Areas with per capita GDP below 70% of the national average or experiencing population decline due to adverse economic and social conditions.
