This development follows a parliamentary question submitted by Baran on December 4, 2024, to which Deputy Minister of Rural Development and Food, Christos Kellas, responded. Kellas confirmed that compensation would be provided to livestock farmers in the Evros, Rhodope, and Thessaly regions who suffered losses due to diseases such as lumpy skin disease and plague, without requiring them to submit tax and insurance data.

In a written statement to the public, MP Baran emphasized his ongoing commitment:
“I will continue to advocate for the rights of all affected compatriots and livestock producers nationwide on every platform,” he declared.
