“Celâl Bayar” athletics team continues its success

The part of the high school section of the athletics competitions, which was suspended for two years due to the epidemic, was held on Thursday, March 31, 2022 this year.

“Celal Bayar” Minority Secondary and High School school athletics team participated in the athletics competitions held at the university stadium in Komotini.

Participating to the competition under the supervision of Physical Education teachers Sezgin Berber and Yılmaz Apti Mehmet, the high school athletics team of “Celâl Bayar" Minority Secondary and High School achieved a big success by winning a total of 9 degrees 4 in first place, 3 second place and 2 third places. 

The categories in which the winners competed are as follows:

FIRST PLACE

• Latif LATİF / High school javelin throw (men) Rhodope province winner.
• Eren MUSTAFA İSMAİL / 800 m race between high schools (men) Rhodope province winner.
• Mert KIRDALI / 400 m race between high schools (men) Rhodope province winner.
• Ceren AMET / High school long jump (girls) champion in Rhodope.

SECOND PLACE

• Mehmet Emir MEMET / 400 m race between high schools (men) second in Rhodope province
• Ömer MEMET / 800 m race between high schools (men) second in Rhodope province
• Mete SALI / Javelin throw between high schools (men) second in Rhodope province

THIRD PLACE

• İlhan AMET/ Inter-high school long jump (men) 3rd place in Rhodope.
• Furkan KAMBER MEMET / 200 m race between high schools (men) third in Rhodope province.

The school board of directors and the school administration congratulated all the students and physical education teachers for their efforts, wishing them continued success.
