Caner Imam conveys the drought problems of farmers in writing to ELGA

Yassıköy Mayor Caner Imam conveyed the economic situation of the farmers who are experiencing a decrease in their crops due to the drought to ELGA officials.
Yassıköy Mayor Caner Imam sent a written petition to the Alexandroupoli branch of the Greek State Agricultural Compensation Agency (ELGA), drawing attention to the damage caused to agricultural production by the prolonged heat wave.
In the petition, it was stated that Yassıköy Municipality will see a decrease in agricultural production due to the high temperatures seen in the last 15 days, and as a result, farmers will be in a difficult situation as the main income of the majority of citizens is based on agricultural production. In the petition, ELGA was requested to take action as soon as possible considering this negative situation, and also requested to investigate the possibility of providing financial support to producers.
