Anti-war rally planned in İskeçe on March 28
The demonstration, organized by the Union of Private Employees and Commercial Workers of İskeçe, will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the city’s central square under the slogan “No participation – no involvement.”
Call Against War Involvement
In a statement, the union warned that escalating global conflicts and Greece’s increasing involvement pose serious risks to workers and society.
“We demand that Greece remains out of the war,” the statement said, highlighting concerns over national security and economic stability.
Cost-of-Living and Labor Concerns
The organizers linked their anti-war stance to growing economic pressures, arguing that rising prices and energy costs are already placing a heavy burden on households.
They also pointed to worsening labor conditions, claiming that workers are being forced to bear the consequences of geopolitical tensions and corporate interests.
Broader Social Demands
The rally is expected to bring together workers and citizens concerned not only about foreign policy but also about inflation, energy costs, and labor rights.
Organizers emphasized that they reject policies that shift the economic burden onto ordinary people, calling for measures that prioritize social welfare and economic relief.
