Alantepe Events 2022 program announced
The three-day program of the historical Alantepe Oil Wrestling and Cultural Events, which will be organized by Kozlukebir Municipality this year, has been announced.
Events that could not be held for two years due to the coronavirus will be held on 26-27-28 August 2022 this year. The head (Aga) of the events to be organized by Arianna (Kozlukebir) Municipality will be Şaban Mehmet from Dokos (Domruköy).
The program of the three-day events will start on Friday, August 26, with the Friday prayer in Domruköy, the village of the event's Agha Şaban Mehmet. Afterwards, Ağa Şaban Mehmet will visit the villages in the region with drums and clarions and invite the people to the events.
The program will continue in Alantepe on Saturday and Sunday.
Oil wrestling will be held and local artists will give concerts.
Two important singers from Türkiye will participate in the events this year.
On Saturday, August 27, Ankaralı Yasemin and on Sunday, August 28, Yusuf Güney will give a concert. Thousands of people are expected to participate.
As in previous years, important oil wrestlers from Greece, motherland Türkiye and neighboring countries are expected to participate in oil wrestling championship this year.
