Leadership change at YTB: Abdulhadi Turus appointed as new president
A significant leadership change has taken place at the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB).
Abdulhadi Turus, formerly the Vice President of YTB, has been appointed as the new President, replacing Abdullah Eren, who was assigned to head the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).
Handover Ceremony Held
The official handover ceremony took place on Monday, July 14, at YTB headquarters. In a statement released by the institution, YTB said: “At the handover ceremony held at the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), Abdullah Eren, who has been appointed as President of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), transferred his duties to YTB Vice President Abdulhadi Turus.”
A New Vision for Turks Abroad
With his appointment, Abdulhadi Turus is expected to bring renewed energy to YTB's mission of strengthening ties with Turkish communities abroad and enhancing the organization’s global impact. His extensive experience within the institution positions him to build on existing programs while introducing new strategies to support diaspora engagement.
The YTB plays a crucial role in fostering cultural, educational, and social connections between Turkie and Turkish communities across the globe, as well as related and kin communities.
