Foreign Minister Fidan: We condemn attacks targeting innocent civilians and civilian casualties
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Egyptian Foreign Minister Samih Shukri held a joint press conference.
Foreign Minister Fidan said, "Of course, we reject and condemn the attacks targeting innocent civilians and civilian casualties (in Palestine)."
"I would like to emphasise once again that we invite Israel to adhere to international law and humanitarian values," Fidan said.
Stating that the aid sent by Türkiye to Gaza will continue to arrive, Fidan said: "(Evacuations from Gaza) There are around 300 Turkish citizens of dual nationality inside. We managed to evacuate 30 of them."
Foreign Minister Fidan said, "Israel's peace should not only be with Arab countries, but mainly with the Palestinians."
Shukri: We share a common vision with Türkiye
"We share a common vision with Turkey on the importance of working to overcome the serious humanitarian impact on Palestinians," said Egyptian Foreign Minister Shoukry.
"The shift of the conflict (between Israel and the Palestinians) towards military operations came about due to the failure to achieve the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people," Shukri said.
