Animals including alpacas were seized from a car at Pazarkule Border Gate
Animals such as kangaroos, alpacas, parrots, flying squirrels, and Patagonian marmosets were seized from a car at Pazarkule Border Gate.
The Greek-registered car coming from Greece to enter Turkey at the border gate was searched by the teams of the Smuggling and Intelligence Branch of the Thrace Customs and Foreign Trade Regional Directorate.
3 kangaroos, 3 alpacas, 1 Patagonian mara, 12 parrots and 23 flying squirrels (pteromyini), some of which were young, were seized from the boot of the car.

The driver was detained.
The captured animals will be handed over to the teams of the Nature Conservation and National Parks Branch Directorate.
