9 international students graduate with degrees at Trakya University
According to the written statement made by the university, 9 international students from Syria, Egypt, Georgia, Russia, Kosovo, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Greece ranked in the top three in their faculties and departments in the 2022-2023 academic year.
Rector Prof. Dr. Erhan Tabakoğlu stated that Trakya University provides education to more than 4,400 international students from different parts of the world with its internationally accredited education that has achieved international quality standards.
Stating that the work and achievements of international students from different nations, cultures and languages bring them great happiness, Tabakoğlu said:
"I congratulate all our students and their families, especially our 9 international students who have overcome many difficulties, filled their saddlebags with beautiful friendships and memories, and graduated from their schools with degrees. As Trakya University, we will be proud of their achievements as they serve their countries and humanity with the education they receive. We will always stand by and support our students with whom we have established indestructible heart bridges. We are taking firm steps towards becoming a world university with the success of our students."
List of the World's Most Influential Scientists
4 academicians from Trakya University were included in the "World's Most Influential Scientists List".
According to the written statement made by the university, the list of the world's most influential scientists prepared in cooperation with Elsevier and Stanford University, 1202 scientists from Turkey this year, while 4 names from Trakya University succeeded in making the list.
In the list, scientists are evaluated in two categories as "career-long impact" and "annual impact", while international criteria such as the number of qualified publications, the impact of the journal in which the publications are included, the number of patents, the number of citations, h-index, hm-index, the number of articles, the number of cited articles and the impact of the journal in which they are published were included using the Scopus database.
Academics Metin Aydoğdu, Mümin Şahin and Necdet Süt were included in the "career-long impact" and "annual impact" lists, while Selçuk Korkmaz was included in the "annual impact" list.
