603 kilos and 500 grams of drugs were seized in the trucks at the Ipsala Customs Area from Greece to enter Türkiye.

According to the written statement made by the Turkish Ministry of Commerce, 603 kilograms and 500 grams of drugs were seized in the trucks that came to the İpsala Customs Area from Greece to enter Türkiye.

Ipsala Customs Enforcement Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate teams saw the TIRs coming to Ipsala Customs Area from Greece to enter Türkiye as risky and directed them to scan.

Upon seeing suspicious densities in one of the vehicles that underwent X-ray scanning, a search was carried out in the presence of detector dogs.

During the search, stashed packages were found on the roof of the trailer. A total of 603.5 kilograms of skunk cannabis was found in the packages.

With the operation of the targeting studies carried out by the Customs Enforcement teams, the first major drug seizure of 2023 was signed.

The investigation into the incident continues before the İpsala Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
