In a recent operation at the Ipsala Border Gate in Edirne, 17 kilograms of hashish were discovered in a vehicle attempting to cross into Greece.

The Turkish Customs Enforcement Directorate's Smuggling and Intelligence Department teams flagged the vehicle for suspicion. After an X-ray scan, the car was thoroughly examined with the assistance of a narcotic detection dog.

When the dog reacted to suspicious areas, a detailed search revealed the drugs hidden between the car's floor and seats. A total of 17 kilograms of hashish were seized during the operation, and the vehicle's driver was arrested.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
