Rüdiger and Nkunku on Super Lig radar as Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe eye January moves

Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe are both exploring high-profile transfers ahead of the January window, with Antonio Rüdiger and Christopher Nkunku emerging as key targets as the Istanbul rivals look to strengthen their squads for the second half of the season.

Galatasaray have been linked with a potential mid-season move for Real Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger.

According to Spanish media, Madrid are planning a defensive reshuffle and could be open to letting the 32-year-old German leave once his contract enters its final year.

The Turkish champions reportedly see this as a market opportunity and are considering an approach to add experience and leadership to their back line as they push for the Super Lig title and European success.

Rüdiger has made 12 appearances for Real Madrid this season and remains in demand, with clubs including Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Saudi sides Al Nassr and Al Hilal also monitoring his situation.

Nkunku to Fenerbahçe

Meanwhile, Fenerbahçe have reportedly opened talks with AC Milan over French forward Christopher Nkunku as they seek to bolster their attack.

Italian media say Milan are asking around €35 million for the 28-year-old, while Fenerbahçe are attempting to negotiate a lower fee.

Nkunku, who previously starred under current Fenerbahçe coach Domenico Tedesco at Leipzig, has struggled for consistency this season, scoring once in 14 appearances. His versatility across the frontline and familiarity with Tedesco’s system are seen as key factors behind Fenerbahçe’s interest.

With the January transfer window approaching, both moves could shape the Super Lig title race, as Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe look to make decisive additions in defense and attack.
