Participation in the football tournament in Cebel from Western Thrace
Two football teams from Western Thrace participated in the football tournament held in Cebel, Bulgaria.
Xanthi Turkish Union Football Team and Gumulcinespor, formed under the management of Koray Hasan from Komotini, participated in the Cebel 2022 Football Tournament, which was held on 6 – 7 August.
The tournament, was organized by the Cebel Municipality in the region where Turks live. Kinsman of the region showed interest in the tournament in Cebel.
Saadettin Mustafa undertook the coaching of Komotinispor, which was created under the coordination of Koray Hasan. Komotinispor got one win, one draw and one loss in the tournament.
Xanthi Turkish Union Football Team participated in the tournament under the management of Murat Sebahattinoğlu, one of the ITB managers.
Mustafa Topal was the coach of the ITB Football Team. Xanthi Turkish Union team also got a win, a draw and a loss in the tournament. Xanthi and Komotini teams returned from Bulgaria on Sunday (August 7th).
Meanwhile, the final match of the Cebel 2022 Football Tournament was played between Kızılağaç and Kırcaali teams. Kizilagac team won the championship.
