A tragic event has unfolded in Greece where numerous cats and at least ten dogs have been reported dead due to poisoned bait left in various locations.

Over the past 48 hours, in the village of Kerasia, Magnisia, many cats and dogs have succumbed to poisoned meat left in different spots. Local residents discovered the poisoned bait, including pieces of meat in their gardens. According to Gegonotanews, the death toll among animals is expected to rise.

The incident involves both stray animals and pets, causing widespread sorrow and anger in the village.

Investigation Underway

A formal complaint was filed on September 5th at the Velestino Police Station, and the Volos Prosecutor's Office has been notified. Local residents and animal lovers are calling for swift action to apprehend those responsible and prevent further such incidents.

The community is urging authorities to take immediate measures to ensure justice and prevent future atrocities.
