Theodorikakos: Price control measures extended to April 2025

Development Minister Takis Theodorikakos announced a four-month extension of the price control measures until April 2025, while speaking in parliament on Thursday.
Addressing the parliamentary committe processing a bill to incorporate an EU Directive on the submission of sustainability reports by companies into national law, Theodorikakos stated that price control measures will continue until the end of April 2025. He recalled that he had extended the measures until the end of 2024 when he came into office, and that these measures will now be extended for at least four additional months.
Asked whether the measures that are being extending are actually having any impact, Theodorikakos replied affirmatively: "This is not just what we say, all the national and international indicators show it. Food inflation was 0.8% in November in Greece, compared to 2.9% in the eurozone. Let me remind you that last year food inflation in Greece was at 10.4%".
