Regular ferry service between Çanakkale and Limnos to begin
A regular ferry service connecting the Turkish city of Çanakkale with the Greek island of Limnos is set to begin this week, with sailings scheduled to operate up to three times a week through Sept. 20.
The route will be served by the ferry *KALYMNOS*. During its first week of operation, beginning July 15, the vessel will make two round trips, on Wednesday and Saturday. From the following week, the schedule will increase to three weekly sailings on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The launch of the service was announced by Nomikos Konstantakis, president of the Limnos Hoteliers Association, who said the new route is expected to enhance connectivity and support tourism between the two sides of the northern Aegean.
The Çanakkale-Limnos route marks the third attempt to establish a regular ferry connection between the Greek island and the Turkish coast.
