Petros Kokkalis, secretary of political party “Cosmos,” announced his resignation from the party he founded two years ago.
Petros Kokkalis, secretary of political party “Cosmos,” announced his resignation from the party he founded two years ago.
“His resignation negates the whole venture and confirms its political failure,” said party co-president Nikos Raptis.
Raptis will also resign his post eventually, but, he added, he will remain, for the time being, member of the party’s secretariat to assist in its liquidation.
Kokkalis announced his resignation six days after former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, a former and, perhaps, future ally announced the formation of his new party Greek Left Coalition (ELAS).
