A new opinion poll in Greece indicates that the ruling New Democracy party continues to maintain a clear lead over opposition parties.
New Democracy maintains strong lead in latest Greek Poll

The survey, conducted by the polling firm Interview Public Opinion Research for the newspaper Political Newspaper, measured voter preferences and broader political attitudes across the country.

Election Estimate Results
According to the poll’s election estimate, New Democracy leads with 34.1%, followed by PASOK – Movement for Change at 15.4%.

Other parties in the survey include:

  • Communist Party of Greece (KKE) – 7.5%
  • Greek Solution – 7%
  • Course of Freedom – 5.5%
  • MeRA25 – 4.2%

“If Elections Were Held Next Sunday”
When respondents were asked the classic polling question — “If elections were held next Sunday, which party would you vote for?” — New Democracy again ranked first with 28.5%.

  • The results showed:
  • New Democracy – 28.5%
  • PASOK – 12.8%
  • KKE – 6.3%
  • Greek Solution – 6%

Undecided voters accounted for 16.4% of respondents.

Public Support for Defense Policy
The poll also measured public attitudes on defense and foreign policy issues.

According to the results:

  • 75% of respondents support Greece providing military support to Cyprus
  • 72% view recent purchases of frigates and fighter jets positively

Regarding the country’s readiness for crises, 45% said Greece is better prepared today, while 27% believe it remains at the same level and 24% think it is less prepared.

Economy Remains Top Concern
Economic issues remain the most pressing concern for voters.

  • The survey found that:
  • 95% of respondents are worried about rising prices
  • 80% are concerned about economic growth
  • 66% cite national security as a concern
  • 37% express concern about political stability

Support Declines for Tsipras and Karystianou
The poll also indicated declining support for former prime minister Alexis Tsipras and for a potential new political party reportedly being prepared by Maria Karystianou.

Only 10.1% of respondents said they were very likely to vote for Tsipras, while 8.2% said they would very likely support a new party led by Karystianou.
