Mild weather ahead with local showers
Greece is expected to experience mild conditions over the next several days, with only limited rainfall mainly in the Aegean, eastern mainland and southern islands.
Temperatures will remain close to seasonal averages, according to meteorologist Thodoros Kolydas.
Kolydas noted that Greece continues to lie on the edge of the stronger barometric systems affecting Central and Northern Europe, resulting in only localized and brief showers rather than widespread rain. Western and northern regions are forecast to see even less precipitation as fronts weaken before reaching the country.
While the short-term outlook remains stable, uncertainty increases closer to Christmas. Forecasts up to mid-December are considered reliable, showing near-normal to slightly above-normal temperatures. However, after December 17–18, weather models begin to diverge significantly, indicating a possible shift in conditions. Meteorologists caution that Christmas weather remains unpredictable at this stage.
