Meeting held in Komotini to support agriculture
To support the Agricultural sector in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, a special program jointly prepared by the Region of Eastern Macedonia - Thrace (DMT) and Thrace Dimokritos University was introduced.
Agricultural associations in the Rhodope province attended the meeting held in the Yorgos Pavlidis hall in the old governor's office in Komotini.
Region Vice President Ahmet İbram shared the following statements regarding the meeting:
“A meeting was held with the Rhodope province agricultural associations to introduce the special program prepared jointly by the Region Presitency and Thrace Democritus University to support the agriculture sector in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
It is a special three-year program funded by the EMT Region and implemented in cooperation with the Region units of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of Thrace Democritus University.
The purpose of the said program is to support our Democritus University scientists to support our producers, to increase the quality and quantity of their production by applying new techniques, possibly to support their transition to new products, and also to help them promote products more effectively in new markets.
Meetings will be held for producers regarding the details of this special program.”
