The island of Santorini is "returning to normalcy", Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni said at the tourism expo ITB Berlin 2025.

In interviews to Euronews, German news agency DPA, FVW, and Greek correspondents, Kefalogianni said, "Latest data show that seismic activity in the region of Santorini has noticeably dropped, and by following closely scientists' guidance and directions, life on the island is returning to normalcy."
The Greek minister reiterated that "the safety of residents and visitors was and remains our absolute priority."
Responding to other questions, Kefalogianni referred to two consecutive record years for tourism, 2023 and 2024, and underlined that perspectives for this year are positive, based on talks with international agencies in the sector such as tourism agents and airline companies.
