VisitGreece app gets AI upgrade to guide tourists across entire travel journey
Tourism Ministry has unveiled an upgraded VisitGreece website and mobile application designed to accompany visitors before, during and after their trips, using artificial intelligence to provide personalised travel assistance and information.
The revamped digital platform was presented on Monday as the government’s main gateway for Greek tourism, offering expanded information, imagery and interactive tools for travellers.
From Wednesday, the VisitGreece app is expected to support users across all stages of their travel experience, from initial inspiration and itinerary planning to on-the-ground navigation and post-trip engagement with the country.
Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni said the AI-powered system allows users to interact with digital assistants, receive tailored recommendations and organise their trips more efficiently.
The platform is designed to provide direct, real-time information and personalised suggestions based on user preferences, marking a broader shift toward AI-driven services in Greece’s tourism strategy.
Officials said the goal is to enhance visitor experience while strengthening Greece’s long-term connection with international travellers through continuous digital engagement.
