KEERFA reports distribution of Golden Dawn leaflets in Argyroupoli

KEERFA (United Against Racism and the Fascist Threat) reported that leaflets linked to the banned far-right organization Golden Dawn were distributed in Argyroupoli. According to the movement, the material carried messaging aligned with the group’s extremist ideology and included an image of its leader, Nikos Michaloliakos, who was convicted along with other members in the Golden Dawn criminal organization trial.

KEERFA stated that Golden Dawn supporters have recently appeared in neighborhoods and schools, presenting the group as a political party whose leadership was imprisoned due to an alleged conspiracy, rather than the criminal charges for which they were convicted. The movement also referred to a recent incident at a school in Petroupoli and the reported opening of an office associated with the group in Ambelokipi.

In its announcement, KEERFA expressed concern that Golden Dawn is attempting to re‐establish public activity ahead of the upcoming prosecutor’s recommendation in the organization’s appeal trial on 12 December. The group accused authorities of showing leniency toward far-right activity while maintaining a heavy-handed stance toward other protests.

According to efsyn.gr, KEERFA is calling on unions, student associations and community groups to take part in an anti-fascist rally on 12 December at the Athens Court of Appeals, and urges continued support for the families and victims of attacks linked to Golden Dawn.
