Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakisvisit to Israel on Sunday, March 30, has drawn sharp criticism from opposition parties.

SYRIZA: "A Provocative Move"
In a written statement, the left-wing SYRIZA party condemned the visit, calling it:

“A provocative move that reflects serious shortcomings and ongoing geopolitical deadlock. Mitsotakis ignores the genocide in Gaza at a time when the ceasefire has collapsed and Israeli attacks have resumed.”

KKE: "A Shameful Meeting"
The Greek Communist Party (KKE) also issued a statement, strongly criticizing Mitsotakis' military cooperation talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. KKE’s statement read:

"Mitsotakis met with the murderer Netanyahu to deepen military cooperation with a murderous state. This visit is shameful."

New Left Party: "On the Wrong Side of History"
The New Left Party also denounced the visit, stating:

"Kyriakos Mitsotakis stands on the wrong side of history, making himself complicit in one of its darkest chapters."
Mitsotakis’ Meetings in Israel
During his visit, PM Mitsotakis met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The visit took place amid escalating tensions in Gaza, sparking strong reactions from the Greek opposition.
