'Greek High School' associations in Xanthi and Kavala invited to Northern Iraq
Folk dance teams affiliated with the Xanthi and Kavala branches of the "Greek High School Association" are going to the city of Sulaymaniyah, which is within the borders of the Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government.
It was reported that the teams were invited by the Greek Consulate General in the region and the state television KURSAT. The teams will perform at the Roman-era theater, which has been restored, in the city of Sulaymaniyah on Thursday, September 29.
In the statement made by the "Greeks High School Association" on the subject, it was stated that the teams will introduce Greek traditions and culture with the shows they will present in the region, and that they will establish friendship and cooperation links with institutions and organizations in the region.
The folklore team of the Greek High School Association will perform for the first time in Northern Iraq.
