The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the successful repatriation of 105 Greek citizens and their family members who had been stranded in Israel amid rising tensions following the latest Iran-Israel crisis.

According to the Ministry's statement released on Wednesday, June 18, the operation was coordinated with the Greek Embassies in Tel Aviv and Cairo, as well as the Consulate General of Greece in Jerusalem.

The evacuees were safely transported to Athens via Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, on board Hellenic Air Force C-130 and C-27 military aircraft.

In addition to Greek nationals, the repatriation flights also provided critical assistance to citizens from several EU and third countries, including Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Georgia, Switzerland, the United States, Italy, Cyprus, Lithuania, Hungary, Portugal, Romania, and Sweden.

The Ministry emphasized that diplomatic and consular missions in the region remain on high alert, continuing to offer assistance and support as developments unfold.
