Greece and Türkiye hold confidence-building talks in Izmir
Delegations from Greece and Türkiye met in Izmir for a new round of discussions on Confidence-Building Measures (CBMs) between the two countries.
According to Greece’s Ministry of National Defence, the meeting was hosted by Türkiye’s Ministry of National Defence and included ambassadors, senior military officers, and other officials from both sides.
During the talks, the delegations conducted a detailed review of the CBMs agreed for 2025 and discussed the implementation framework for 2026.
According to AMNA, the meeting reportedly took place in a positive and constructive atmosphere, reflecting the continued effort by both neighbours to promote dialogue and stability in bilateral relations. The next round of CBM discussions will be hosted in Greece, the statement concluded.
