FM Gerapetritis to attend EU-Gulf Cooperation Council summit in Oman on Monday

Greek Foreign Affairs Minister George Gerapetritis will travel to Muscat, the port capital of Oman, on Monday, to attend the Joint Council of the EU-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit.
Regional and international security in the light of rising tensions in the Middle East is expected to be the main theme of this summit, said the Greek ministry in an announcement. Other issues at the summit's agenda include climate crisis, green transition and preparation for the 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28), to be held November 30-December 12 in Dubai.
Gerapetritis will meet bilaterally with both Arab and European counterparts, Gulf countries' delegations, and representatives of regional and international organizations, the ministry said.
