Elli Roussou has officially become a member of the Hellenic Parliament, taking the seat for Athens A with the Course of Freedom (Plefsi Eleftherias) party, following last week’s unexpected resignation of Diamantis Karanastasis.
Her swearing-in ceremony was completed earlier today. Party leader Zoe Konstantopoulou was present in the chamber during the session.
The Course of Freedom parliamentary group now consists of six MPs. In 2023, two members—Michalis Chourdakis, who has since joined the Movement for Democracy, and Areti Papaïoannou—had become independent.
