Decisions on a political plan leading up to the next general elections and on a roadmap for whether and when to hold leadership elections within PASOK-Movement for Change will be taken at an upcoming meeting of PASOK's Central Committee at the end of this month, party leader Nikos Androulakis said on Wednesday.

"Today," he said, "we will analyse the election result and later, in the Central Political Committee we decide on the roadmap," concluded Androulakis, addressing a joint meeting of the Political Council and PASOK Parliamentary Group at the party's headquarters in Athens.
On the European elections result, Androulakis said that a course for the gradual rise of the party has been inititated. "PASOK has complete autonomy of programme and political power. I committed to political autonomy, renewal and perspective when I became leader of the party. We have all three, as long as we don't tear down what we built with painstaking efforts," Androulakis said.

He also explained that "It's one thing to say that we didn't rise percentage-wise as much as we would have liked, and another to present a picture of collapse and destruction by taking the spotlight away from the real losers of the election."

Androulakis said that PASOK should change strategy in the two major urban centres, stating that he is open to discussing this.
