The crowd gathered in front of the Parliament building to demand accountability and justice for the victims. As the demonstration was dispersing, some groups threw Molotov cocktails and sound bombs at police, who responded with tear gas. Reports indicate that 20 people were taken into custody following the clashes.

The Tembi accident occurred on February 28, 2023, in the Tembi area north of Larisa, when a passenger train collided with a freight train, causing several carriages to derail and the leading carriages to catch fire.
