A Ministerial Decision published in the Government Gazette introduces amendments to the implementation framework of intervention Π1-31.9 “Maintenance of Organic Farming and Livestock Practices.” The changes set new criteria for the inclusion of farmland and pastures under ecological schemes.
Key Changes
The amendments concern:
- Farmland and pastures already integrated into the organic farming system and having completed the conversion stage.
- Cases involving tobacco leaves or other plant parts intended for the production of tobacco or tobacco products.
- The decision modifies the previous Ministerial Decision No. 1545/179036/9-06-2023.
Eligible Beneficiaries
According to the new framework, eligible beneficiaries include:
- Active farmers or groups of farmers with registered farmland, pastures, or livestock farms,
- Producers holding electronic certificates issued by approved Control and Certification Organizations.
Additionally, tobacco producers must comply with national legislation on tobacco production.
Entry into Force
The provisions take effect from the date of publication in the Government Gazette and apply from the 2025 Single Aid Application (EAE) onward.
