Amateur leagues been suspended, matches not to be played until the problem is resolved!

The Football Federation announced that the decision in question was a protest decision taken against the registry law enacted by the Deputy Minister of Sports, L. Avgenakis.

At the general assembly held on Sunday, October 2, 57 members voted YES for the suspension of amateur leagues. Olympiakos, EPS Piraeus, EPS Ilias, and EPS Laconia voted NO, while Asteras Tripolis, Volos, Ionikos, and Lamia voted ABSTENTION.

Deputy Minister of Sports said that the decision to suspend amateur leagues will be valid until the law that foresees the registration of teams is changed. “According to the decision taken, football teams are prohibited from entering the field and playing matches.” he said.

Deputy Minister of Sports Avgenakis reacted
“They have decided to suspend the championships in the EPO,” Lefteris Avgenakis said on his personal Twitter account. Parents, athletes, "healthy" union representatives realized who put a tombstone in amateur football. We continue our work on 6300 legal unions that support cleanliness and order in the sports structure.”
