Taxi drivers who do not comply with the government requirement of posting a stickie informing passengers they accept card payments will be fined 1,000 euros as of Monday.

According to AMNA the stickie, on the back window to the right of the passenger, informs rides the taxi driver is required to accept card payments through a POS.

Inspectors of the tax service AADE have been conducting checks on taxis this past week, and will continue to do so more intensely, AADE said on Friday.
