British Airways reviews crew accommodation after three pilots became sick on a flight from India, while SWISS investigates two pilots removed over suspected alcohol use.

Three British Airways pilots became ill during a flight from Hyderabad to London Heathrow, with one becoming too unwell to continue duties after being given oxygen on board.

The other two pilots, who also developed symptoms, safely landed the aircraft. The airline said flight safety was never compromised.

Investigators are examining whether food, drinks or bottled water consumed at the crew's hotel before departure may have caused the illness. British Airways has begun reviewing its crew accommodation in Hyderabad.

SWISS investigates pilots

In a separate case, SWISS International Air Lines said it removed two pilots from duty before a flight from Geneva in March after concerns they appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.

The pilots were replaced before reaching the airport and have not flown since. An internal investigation is continuing.
