The 10th legislative term starts in the European Parliament

Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament (EP), announced that the 10th legislative term has officially started.
"Welcome to the 10th legislative term of the EP," Metsola said in a statement. The EP President also published visuals of the European Union (EU) flag being raised in front of the EP building in Strasbourg at the ceremony held under her leadership.
Thus, the 10th legislative term of the EP officially started after the elections held on 6-9 June. The new General Assembly, which will meet for the first time tomorrow, will vote for Metsola, who is a candidate for the EP Presidency again. On 18 July, the General Assembly will come together for a vote of no confidence for EU Commission President candidate Ursula von der Leyen.
