Five fuel stations (one in Xanthi) sealed for violations

Five fuel stations were sealed by the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (IAPR- AADE) in cooperation with the Hellenic Police after violations were discovered.

The stations are located in Xanthi, Alexandria in Imathia, Anoixi, Pikermi, and Ilion in Attica. During inspections, it was found that the stations had manipulated fuel inflow and outflow records and submitted falsified tax documents to the IAPR database.

Following the checks, these stations were sealed. In the case of the station in Alexandria, Imathia, the Prosecutor ordered the owner's arrest under the flagrant offense procedure.

Additionally, seven other stations were found to have committed violations.

IAPR Governor Giorgos Pitsilis stated, "Intensive inspections at fuel stations using advanced analytical tools can deliver significant blows to fuel smuggling. This effort continues with unwavering intensity, to protect citizens and businesses."
