Announcements on Christmas allowance by the end of November
The budget implementation data with which, according to sources, will be certified the creation of additional fiscal space will be announced on Thursday 16 November. This will pave the way for the granting of support allowance to vulnerable social groups against the price hike.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and National Economy Minister Kostis Hatzidakis had noted that they will exhaust any existing fiscal space to support the society and those groups that need it more.
The course of the tax revenues, due, on one hand of the good course of the economy and especially of tourism and on the other hand of the partial tax compliance as a result of the checks in the market and the use of POS, continues to surprise positively by exceeding the targets.
In this context, and provided that there will not be any adverse development, the government will grant and this year a support allowance against the high prices to 1 million tax payers.
According to information, the allowance will range between 200 and 250 euros and will be credited to the accounts of the entitled before the Christmas holidays while the official announcements is estimated to be made by the end of November.
