Onter Moumin elected Iasmos (Yassıköy) mayor with overwhelming support by the residents of the region.
In the second round of the local administration elections that was held on Sunday, young mayor candidate Moumin won the elections against his opponent, Kyriakos Amoutzas and celebrated the victory.According to unofficial results, Moumin received 65,98 pct of votes followed by Amoutzas that received 46,40 pct. Onter Moumin collected 5893 votes out of 8931 valid votes, while Amoutzas had 3038 votes.
During his short speech after his elections, the new Mayor underlined his determination "to work together for the region and for its residents."We will not disappoint you."
