N. Androulakis: The government is heavily exposed for not suspending the state funding of "Spartans"
In a statement, the president of PASOK-KINAL, Nikos Androulakis, criticised the government for not suspending the state funding of the "Spartans", despite their exclusion from the European elections.
"PASOK, as a force of responsible opposition, had long ago pointed out the need to take an initiative to suspend state funding to the "Spartans" by submitting an amendment to the Parliament in September 2023", the PASOK-KINAL president said: "However, the government chose to ignore us. What is the result of this 'inaction'? The "Spartans" to receive an amount of 788,067.18 euros as part of the annual state funding in September 2024, while the payment of 59,998.58 euros and 25,898 euros as electoral funding for the European elections had previously been made despite their exclusion by the Supreme Court".
According to ERT Androulakis stressed that PASOK is re-submitting an amendment today to immediately suspend the funding of the party, whose real leader is a convicted criminal, according to the supreme court. "Once again, the government is heavily exposed," Androulakis concluded.
