“Islamic knowledge” competition in Smolyan

The regional Mufti Office of Smolyan held the Fifteenth Regional Competition on Basic Knowledge of the Islamic Religion. 

The competition was held on 25.08.2022 in the central mosque of the town of Smolyan in Bulgaria. 

The mosque was filled with enthusiastic children from Qoran courses throughout the Smolyan region. 19 children in different categories and levels took part in the competition.

They solved a test and passed a practical exam for performing namaz (pray) and reading the Qoran. 

The jury consisting of chairman Hafez Shefket Hadji the director of the Hafez Murad Haji Course in Madan, members Hafez Bayram Ushev deputy regional mufti of Zlatograd and Izet Jalev deputy regional mufti of Devin, had the difficult task of evaluating the most the good ones.

They recognized the winners and runners-up in the five different categories and levels. 
Another 15 children took part in the "Talents" category, performed ilahi and artistic reading of the Qoran and adhan. 

The event turned into a real celebration for all the children as a quiz was also organized with lots of prizes given away. 

The regional mufti of Smolyan Nejmi Dubov thanked everyone who took part in the preparation and holding of the competition, the teachers, participants and parents and wished the teachers success in their difficult task of teaching the Islamic religion to children and youth in the Qoran courses. 

All the participants in the competition received awards from the Regional Muftiship - Smolyan.
