'Friendship Group' is established between the Macedonian Orthodox Church and the Islamic Union

The Commission on Interreligious Relations of North Macedonia announced that the "Friendship Group" will be established for the first time between the Macedonian Orthodox Church and the Islamic Union.
The 'Friendship Group' will become operational with the meeting to be held in Skopje.
It was reported that the aim of the friendship group is to share experiences among the new generation of clergy and civil servants, to enable them to meet and to carry out joint works for the welfare of the people.
The President of the Islamic Union Şakir Fetai and the Macedonian Orthodox Church Archbishop Stefan are expected to attend the meeting and make speeches.
In addition, at the friendship group meeting, Dean of the Orthodox Faculty Gyoko Gyorgevski and from the Faculty of Islamic Sciences Prof. Dr. Saban Suleymani will also take part.
