Bulgarian Tourism Minister Dimitrov: Türkiye, our priority partner in tourism

According to the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA), Dimitrov spoke at the "International Business and Investment Forum" organized by the InvestBulgaria Agency in Istanbul.
Pointing to the importance of the forum, Dimitrov said, "I believe that today's event is a great opportunity to strengthen the ties of friendship between our peoples, including in the field of tourism, which is one of the most important sectors for the Bulgarian economy."
Stating that "Türkiye is Bulgaria's primary partner in the sector" and that the importance of bilateral relations will become more concrete in the face of current difficulties, Dimitrov noted that many beneficial events have taken place in recent years, during which meaningful contacts have been established.
Noting that they will hold the 4th meeting of the Bulgarian-Türkiye Joint Tourism Committee in Istanbul two weeks later, "Türkiye is in the top 3 in the number of tourists coming to Bulgaria in recent years. These figures clearly show that the market has very serious dynamics. However, it is important to note that there is still significant development potential," he said.
Dimitrov announced that as of February, Bulgaria will become a tourism attaché in Türkiye. AA
