ANA's president Perdikaris elected president of ABNA-SE

The president and general manager of the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) Emilios Perdikaris was unanimously elected president of the Association of the Balkan News Agencies (ABNA-SE) during the general assembly of the Association, in Burgas, Bulgaria.
It is a two-year term and the next meeting of ABNA-SE will be held in the spring of 2023 in Thessaloniki.
"The presidency of the Association of the Balkan Agencies ABNA-SE is a success and reward for Greece, which reflects the work that has been done in the Athens-Macedonian News Agency over the last period. Similarly symbolic is the choice of Thessaloniki for the next general assembly ABNA-SE, because of the important role it plays in the Balkans," according to ANA's president and general director, Perdikaris.
"Our goal", he underlined, "is the joining of our forces, the strengthening of the cooperation of all agencies in the wider region and becoming stronger in the face of the professional and technological challenges we are already facing, but also to smooth out the differences between us. Our priority is also the promotion of Thessaloniki as a centre for the training of journalists from the Balkans and SE Europe."
