A passenger train travelling from Bulgaria to Türkiye seized 33 pythons.
33 pythons, including 2 dead ones, were seized in a compartment of a passenger train travelling from Bulgaria to Türkiye.
During the control of the Bosfor passenger train arriving at Kapıkule Station Customs, 33 snakes, including 2 dead python snakes, were found under the bed in a compartment, each of which was put in a net and hidden with a coat.
A Turkish citizen suspect was detained in connection with the incident.
Kapıkule Customs Enforcement Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate personnel delivered the snakes to the Edirne Branch Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks.
The suspect who brought the snakes was fined 26 thousand 390 liras by the Edirne Branch Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks.
