Husband of Queen Elizabeth II has died, Buckingham Palace announces
Britain’s Prince Philip has died at the age of 99 in Windsor Castle, according to Buckingham Palace on Friday.
“It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband,” the palace announced on Twitter.
Philip, 99, is the husband of Queen Elizabeth II and also the Duke of Edinburgh.
He retired from public life in 2017.
