Israel conducts fresh airstrikes on Gaza as conflict nears a month

Several Palestinians were killed in fresh Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip early Monday as the conflict in the besieged Palestinian territory nears a month, state news agency Wafa reported.

A fighter jet struck a house in Khan Younis, south of Gaza City, leaving three people dead, including a child. Several people were said to remain trapped under the rubble.

Another strike targeted a house in the central city of Deir al-Balah, killing and injuring at least 15 people.

Ten people were also killed and injured in an Israeli airstrike on a house in Zawaida district in central Gaza Strip.

Separately, an Israeli airstrike targeted a house in Tel al-Sultan refugee camp, west of Rafah in southern Gaza.

Israel has launched air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip following a cross-border attack by Hamas on Oct. 7.

More than 11,300 people have been killed in the conflict, including at least 9,770 Palestinians and nearly 1,600 Israelis.

Besides the large number of casualties and massive displacements, basic supplies are running low for Gaza’s 2.3 million residents due to the Israeli siege.
