Youth Theatre Festival to bring four performances to İskeçe

A total of 110 children and young performers will take the stage during the event, which aims to provide young participants with valuable stage experience while offering audiences a diverse theatrical program.

The theatre team, working under the coordination of director Senem Ahu Topuz, has entered the final phase of preparations and will present four different productions during the festival.

The opening performance will take place on April 2, featuring “Hisseli Harikalar Kumpanyası”, a classic play written by renowned Turkish theatre figure Haldun Dormen.

On April 3, audiences will watch a stage production inspired by two iconic films of the Turkish cinema tradition known as Yeşilçam: Süt Kardeşler and Tosun Paşa.

The festival will continue on April 4 with the play “Bizi Bize Anlattık,” written by Ayça Peçenik from the Mucize Theatre writing team.

The final day, April 5, will feature a special performance by elementary school students titled “Küçük Kalpler İçin Büyük Hikayeler.” The production consists of five sketches written by members of the theatre’s writing team, including Zeynep Betül Ergen, Berrak Delioğlu, Rasiye Şabanoğlu and Ayça Peçenik.

All plays are adapted and directed by Senem Ahu Topuz. The organization of the event is handled by Sevcan Hacı Ali, while coordination is managed by Sevtap Hint.

The technical team includes contributors responsible for stage decoration, costume design, music arrangements, and stage production. The set design for the elementary school performance is sponsored by Ed-Design.

The event is expected to bring together theatre enthusiasts and highlight youth creativity within the Turkish minority community of Western Thrace.
